The International Civil Aviation Association conducted its annual board conference alongside other organisations like the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the International Air Cargo Association (TIACA), the International Airport Board (ACI), the Committee for Civil Air Navigation Services (CANSO) and the International Coordinating Council of Associations of Aerospace Industries (ICCAIA).
At the ICAO Council meeting on Thursday 9 April 2020, a clear international partnership arose. The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) along with high-level delegates from ACI, CANSO, ICCAIA and IATA were invited to the Council’s informal briefing as a videoconference. The purpose of the briefing was to present the views of the international aviation community to the Council on the main measures that should be taken by States to provide immediate assistance to the aviation industry and to support its recovery at a later date. The meeting’s main focus was ‘acting closely and in harmony.’
