Research Designs & Standards Organization, Indian Railways’ research arm, launched a new tanker carrying milk capable of holding 44,660 liters which is much better than the existing tankers.
A special double-barrel stainless steel shell with PUF insulation is used in the milk tank to keep the milk chilled during transportation, reports The Times of India.
These tanks, while attached to passenger trains, could move up to a speed of 110 km/h and facilitate safe and speedy milk transport.
