Plea against granting operation rights of Thiruvananthapuram airport to Adani sent back to HC

On Friday the Supreme Court remanded the petition of the state government to the Kerala High Court challenging the AAI request to award the Adani group the management rights of the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport.

A bench led by Chief Justice SA Bobde heard the submissions on behalf of the Government of Kerala and other parties and decided to send the issue back to the high court for adjudication.

The bench said the controversy over the applicability of Article 131 would remain open for further discussion if needed.
