Maersk expects global Q2 volumes to decrease 20-25%, across all businesses

The waiver will refer to boxes closed between April 1 and April 15 Container freight station (CFS) operators will grant a waiver of up to 50% in ground rental charges to importers who did not take delivery of containers that arrived in their CFSs between April 1 and April 15. The step follows six guidance letters given since March 27 by the Jawaharlal Nehru Custom House (which governs CFSs), requesting CFSs to comply with the Shipping Ministry Order to waive charges for importers' pause in evacuating cargo for reasons due to the lockdown.
