Lack of clarity disrupted ‘essential’ goods movement
Following an declaration of a national shutdown on March 24, the country saw movement disturbance of several products, including chemicals used for cleaning hospitals, reagents used in testing kits, security equipment, all of which would have been deemed ‘critical items,’ acknowledged many government weapons at a high-level meeting last Friday.
Following the meeting of the Logistics Committee for Covid-19 Relief Operations, the Home Ministry released a notification on Sunday stating that all items should be permitted to travel across the country without differentiation of necessary and non-essential.
