India extends ban on all domestic, international flights and trains till May 3

While Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared the extension of the lockout until May 3, 2020, leading to an growing number of Covid-19 infections; the Civil Aviation Directorate-General (DGCA) extended both domestic and foreign flights until May 3, 18.30 hrs GMT.

In the meantime, railway ministry has prolonged the suspension of passenger services until May 3. Nonetheless, both DGCA and Indian Railways have reconfirmed that the freight activities are not included and can travel openly.
