Direct rail service resumes between Hyderabad and PSA Chennai

A rake carrying 32 sunflower seed export containers from Ocean Network Express (ONE) and 2 PVC board containers from APL traveled yesterday from Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) Hyderabad ICD to PSA Chennai’s on-dock railhead, after more than 3 years after the last direct connection. The containers on ONE vessel “Xin Pu Dong” is destined for sale, on the TE1 service with Manila’s final destination.

A rake of 90 empty containers also belonging to ONE departed PSA Mumbai’s railyard for CONCOR’s ICD at Hyderabad on 8 May 2020 to assist exporters in the Hyderabad region with empty containers for storage. The containers had been first trucked from local depots to PSA Mumbai.
