Cochin Port Trust helps during ‘Operation Samudra Sethu’ for Maldives expatriates

The Cochin Port Trust provides assistance in ‘Project Samudra Setu’ by opening its doors to promote the smooth movement of expatriates.

The Samudrika Cruise Terminal was opened to accommodate the expatriates and the port took up the required refurbishments in compliance with the medical protocols.

The first group of 698 people evacuated from the Maldives arrived by Indian Navy’s ship ‘INS Jalaswa’ on Sunday morning.

The ship is berthed at BTP Jetty, and Samudrika Cruise Terminal is carrying out the disembarkation procedures.
